Briana McGrane, a Twin Cities native, began studying piano at the age of eight. She began teaching private piano lessons in high school. While in high school, she participated in Minnesota’s All-State Band and Orchestra, as well as the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies and Minnesota Youth Symphonies. Briana has studied numerous instruments including piano, bassoon, and clarinet. Her teachers include Jocelyn Hagen (piano), Sara Brunk (piano), Marcia Thoen (clarinet), Laurie Merz (bassoon) and Chris Marshall (bassoon). Briana has been fortunate to travel with many different music ensembles to perform in several different countries including Spain, Argentina, Austria, Germany, England and Paris.
Briana will graduate from Luther College with a degree in music performance and education in May 2020. She is passionate about building a curriculum that uses existing curriculum and adding elements of each student’s individual interests. Briana has experience teaching numerous ages young preschool students through adults. Briana joined Kramer’s School of Music in 2020.
