Galina Shatskaya
Galina Shatskaya is a member of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association. She offers more than 30 years of piano teaching experience and adheres to the highest standards of professionalism. Mrs. Shatskaya holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy from the Rimsky-Korsakov Musical College and Master of Arts Degree in Pedagogy from the Mogilev State University in Belarus. She is also the author of the ‘Developing Proper Piano Playing Technique’ teaching aid recommended for use at musical schools in Belarus.
Mrs. Shatskaya spent a big part of her career in her hometown of Mogilev, Belarus, where she taught piano and headed the Piano Department at a musical school. From 1998 – 2015 Mrs. Shatskaya owned and operated a successful piano studio in Omaha, NE. Her students have participated in numerous competitions and festivals with outstanding results.
A firm believer in traditional piano teaching methods, Mrs. Shatskaya strives to maintain a diverse and comprehensive student body by accommodating various musical interests and abilities. Her own musical preferences are broad, ranging from classical to jazz and rock. She will be joining Kramer’s School of Music in June 2015!
