Kenny Reichert
Kenny Reichert is a guitarist, composer, and educator with over a decade of experience as a performer, recording artist, and teacher. He teaches guitar at Concordia University, Saint Paul, where he works with students of all levels to develop strong fundamentals, creativity, and confidence.
Kenny holds a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. As a recording artist, he has released several acclaimed albums, including Switch (2024, Calligram Records), Deep Breath (2023, Shifting Paradigm Records), and Interpretations (2015). He is also a founding member of Righteous Rooster, a Chicago-based organ trio praised for its infectious energy and unique blend of funk, jazz, and blues. In addition, he performs and records with the jazz-folk duo Sara and Kenny, which has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe.
Kenny is an active composer and producer for music licensing and has had work featured on national and international television programs, including NFL GameDay Kickoff, Temptation Island, and Blood & Water. His versatile compositional voice spans genres and formats, contributing to a wide variety of sync placements.
As a teacher, Kenny is patient, supportive, and passionate about helping each student grow at their own pace. He tailors lessons to the individual, focusing on learning fundamentals through music that students enjoy! Kenny is comfortable teaching chords, melodies, rhythm, reading, improvisation, technique, ear training, songwriting, and theory. Whether picking up the guitar for the first time or looking to take their playing to the next level, Kenny creates an environment where learning is fun, meaningful, and focused on helping students reach their goals.
