Richard Haneman

Richard currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He has been working as a drum set player and educator for over a decade. Richard currently serves as the Percussion Instructor at The Blake School where he works with students on concert percussion, drum set, and music theory. In addition, he performs locally and regionally via drum set with groups Honeybutter and HEYARLO.

Richard teaches students at all stages of musical development. He works with each student to customize a program that facilitates their learning style while addressing their musical needs and aspirations. His students learn good practice habits, how to approach challenging material, how to prepare for auditions, recitals, concerts, and how to develop their own creative voice. His overarching goal is for students to discover the joy of playing music while developing a high degree of musicianship.
