My children have been taking music classes at Kramer School for the last 8 years. My daughter has been taking piano lessons and she also tried the guitar, and my son started by playing the violin, but later on he switched to the clarinet. The beauty of the school is that they offer so many musical instruments, so that if one is not a good fit for your child, they can switch to a different one. There are also regular music recitals and they offer classes that prepare students for the MMTA exams and contests. All the teachers are experts in their instrument and have advanced musical degrees, but they are also encouraging and they know how to work with children. You can always ask for a trial lesson, and see if the teacher/instrument is a good fit for your child. Also, don’t forget about the drawing classes, as my children truly enjoyed these, too.
I highly recommend Kramer School to everyone. Thanks to the teachers here, my daughter has passed the 8 levels of the MMTA piano exam and this year is her 6th time that she will be performing at the Honors Concert, and my son is one of the best clarinet players in his school.
