Dr. Thomas Creek

Dr. Thomas Creek, originally from Columbia, South Carolina, discovered his love for classical guitar during high school classes. This initial interest blossomed into a dedicated academic journey, leading him to earn a Bachelor of Music from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Music from the University of Missouri, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from Shenandoah Conservatory.

Over the past ten years, Thomas has had the pleasure of teaching students of all ages and musical backgrounds. His diverse teaching experience includes serving as a Suzuki classical guitar instructor at Peabody Preparatory in Baltimore, where he taught both individual and group lessons. He also served as the clinical guitar instructor for the music therapy department at Shenandoah Conservatory, where he created and implemented curriculum to help music therapy students build practical guitar skills. Beyond these roles, Thomas has maintained a private studio for over a decade, teaching everything from intricate classical repertoire to electric guitar and popular music.

Drawing from his own experiences as both a student and an educator, Thomas has crafted a flexible, student-centered approach to guitar instruction. He’s committed to equipping each student with the essential skills, confidence, and personalized guidance they need to thrive as musicians and achieve their unique musical aspirations.
