Kramer’s School of Music Awards System

Purpose: Kramer’s School of Music Awards System provides students an incentive to participate in music related activities.

Guidelines:

  • The point count starts from September 1st of every year.
  • Teachers must keep accurate records of each student’s events and email them to Eleonora Fishman (kram0244@gmail.com) by May 15th of each year.
  • The points accumulated during the summer can be counted towards the next academic year.

Points Accumulation:

400 points

  • MMTA Comprehensive Piano Exams
  • MMTA Voice, Flute, Guitar, and String Exams

300 points

  • MMTA Theory Exam
  • MMTA Piano, Voice, and Instrumental Contests (Preliminary and Finals)
  • Young Artist Piano, Voice, and Instrumental Contests
  • MMTA Popular Styles Exam
  • MMTA Music Bridges
  • Kramer’s School of Music Ensemble and Concerto Competition
  • Schubert Club Competition
  • Thursday Musical Competition
  • St. Paul Concerto Competition
  • Mozart Concerto Competition
  • Any other piano, voice or instrumental competitions.

200 points

  • Kramer’s School of Music Halloween Recital
  • Kramer’s School of Music Holiday Recital
  • Kramer’s School of Music Gala Recital
  • Any school or local orchestra, band, choir, and theater auditions.
  • PowerPoint or display presentation of the composer or musician of student’s choice.
  • Participation in Kramer’s School of Music String Ensemble
  • Participation in Kramer’s School of Music Choir
  • Participation in Kramer’s School of Music Guitar Ensemble

100 points

  • Attendance of any musical concert

Please write a paragraph describing the event such as name, artists, repertoire, instruments used, and three things that you learned.

Awards:

  • 1000 points - 20" Kramer’s School of Music Riser Trophy
  • 1500 points - 22" Kramer’s School of Music Riser Trophy
  • 2000 points - 24" Kramer’s School of Music Riser Trophy
  • 2500 points - 26" Kramer’s School of Music Riser Trophy
  • 3000 points - 28" Kramer’s School of Music Riser Trophy
  • The student with the most points for the year will also receive Kramer’s School of Music monetary scholarship.
  • The Award Ceremony will take place during our Gala Recital at the end of the academic school year in June.
