Alvaro Henrique

Alvaro Henrique challenges the boundaries of what it means to be classical, musician, guitarist, Brazilian, and person. He also embraces his neurodivergence and is an advocate for defying harmful stereotypes. His recent albums are Guerra-Peixe’s complete solo guitar works, Alvaro Henrique plays Dilermando Reis, and ongoing projects are a 3 CD of Heitor Villa-Lobos’ music with the Orquestra Sinfonica do Teatro Nacional Claudio Santoro, and new music from composers born in Brasilia, stripped from Rio de Janeiro/ Southeastern paracolonial impositions. Alvaro was awarded in competitions in Brazil, Canada and the USA, and has performed in about 20 countries.
