Mathew Roberts

Drum instructor Mathew Roberts is a Twin Cities native, Chicago and LA transplant, and an ambassador for jazz and world music. With a Masters in Jazz Performance / Pedagogy / Big Band arranging from Columbia, he seeks to share the knowledge of the pocket and the jazz vernacular to all his students.

Formerly a world touring drummer with Mild High Club, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Mac Demarco, Paul Cherry, he has accrued a long list of studio credits including Woody Goss of Vulfpeck, Eyedress, Magdalena Bay, Blood Orange, and Dee Snider’s hit Broadway in Chicago Christmas musical, among others.
