Vincent Olmsted

Vincent Olmsted is a guitar and bass instructor living in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. His passion for playing music ignited when he got his first electric bass at the age of 11. Four years later, when he became interested in writing songs, he picked up the guitar as well. Vincent was active in the band and orchestra programs throughout his High School years in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and continued his music education in college. He received his AFA in Music from Minnesota State Community and Technical College before transferring to McNally Smith College of Music to earn his BA in Music with a minor in Songwriting and Composition.

After graduating, Vincent played in various bands in the Twin Cities, including the variety cover band Midwest Mayhem and his own songwriting/recording project, Comet Morehouse. He has also written soundtracks for student films and computer games. His favorite style of music to play is rock, but he also has experience playing jazz, folk, and classical.

Outside of his music life, Vincent also has a BFA in Graphic Design from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and has worked professionally in the design industry since 2021. He also enjoys creating visual art, writing short fiction, cooking, reading, and bowling.
