Lars Johnson

Lars Johnson is a drummer and educator from St. Paul who has been teaching drum lessons since 2012. His main goals as a teacher are to foster the student’s love for music while pushing them to unlock their full potential as a creative musician.

Lars has performed all across the country with many groups including McNasty Brass Band, Radiochurch, and Sister Species. Lars has also toured extensively in the United States, Europe, and China with Rodney Marsalis and the Philadelphia Big Brass.  He received a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from McNally Smith College of Music in 2013. Since receiving his degree, Lars has studied with several world renowned drummers including Mark Guiliana (David Bowie), Steve Goold (Sara Bareilles), and Gordy Knudtson (Steve Miller Band).
