Stephanie Knapper

Stephanie Knapper is a cello teacher located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Cello Performance from Minnesota State University-Moorhead in 2014 and then went on to get her Master’s Degree in Cello Performance from UW-Madison in 2017. After grad school, Stephanie made her way back to Minnesota to teach and play music. Her dream is to ultimately play in a professional orchestra one day.

Stephanie currently is a full time member in the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, Principal Cellist in the Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra and is also a substitute cellist for the Sioux City Symphony. Alongside playing in various orchestras, Stephanie is the cellist of the Bards Quartet which is a Minneapolis based string quartet that plays video game music around the state.

In addition to playing in various groups, Stephanie is a local cello teacher that teaches in both Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. She has been teaching cello lessons since 2012 and welcomes students of all ages and difficulty levels! Stephanie understands that everyone learns in different ways, so her lessons are catered to every student she teaches. One reason she enjoys teaching is because it means she gets to share her love of music to others. Music connects us in ways words can’t and that’s such an amazingly powerful gift to share.

When she is not performing or teaching, she is most likely spending time with her Bichon Frise, Winnie, teaching her how to communicate through her talk buttons or helping her learn ample amounts of tricks!
