Eric Green

Inspired to create music that leaves a meaningful impact on his listeners, Eric Green is an active percussion musician. As an instructor, Eric is driven to share his passion for percussion with young artists with the hope of making it a life changing experience for them. In that spirit, he serves as a front ensemble instructor with the Irondale High School Marching Band as well as a private music coach.

As a student/percussionist living in Boston, MA, Eric performed with the Boston Philharmonic, New England Philharmonic, and Boston Civic Orchestra. He was also a member of the Boston University Orchestra and the Boston University Wind Ensemble which performs in Symphony Hall. Eric previously taught front ensemble marching bands in Danvers and Salem, MA.

Eric studied percussion with Milan Kramer at the University of Northern Iowa and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music education. Eric received his master’s degree in percussion performance from Boston University where he was mentored by BSO principal timpanist Tim Genis and percussionists Samuel Solomon & Kyle Brightwell. He currently is a DMA student at the University of Minnesota where he studies with Fernando Meza.
